I had a farm in Africa... It was Africa distilled... The views were immensely wide. Everything that you saw made for greatness and freedom, and unequalled nobility... You woke up in the morning and thought: Here I am, where I ought to be.

ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING
Planning and development in South Africa is gradually becoming more environmentally sensitive and appropriate, guided by legislation that requires the undertaking of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for all new developments and certain activities. This legislation aims to protect our precious natural resources, including endangered and threatened ecosystems, faunal and floral species, wetlands and water resources and valuable agricultural soils. It aims to ensure development is socially, environmentally and economically sustainable and contributes to a quality of life for all people in South Africa.
In an endeavour to contribute to the protection of South Africa's unique environmental attributes, the company specialises in independent Environmental Impact Assessments for new developments and activities, as now required by law.
Seaton Thomson and Associates, together with a team of accredited specialists in their various fields, prepare and submit EIAs for consideration by the relevant environmental authorities, in order to obtain approval for such development to proceed. The company specialises in EIAs for all types of developments, including new residential, commercial and industrial townships, infrastructural services, game lodges and resorts, and recreation facilities.
Seaton Thomson and Associates has been responsible for numerous EIA applications and has achieved considerable success in contributing to more environmentally sensitive and appropriate developments in the unique South African landscape.
